Fanart (Digital Drawing)
Uhm..
So, today, I would like to review the process of making art about Wriothesley and Aratakki Itto. These two characters come from Genshin. Wriothesley is a new character from Genshin Impact 4.1, while Arataki Itto in Genshin 3.3.

The Process of Drawing
Well, since this is an art blog. Hence, I also want to share and write about the created drawings. So, here are the results of digital drawing! Wriothesley and Arataki Itto. Look at their picture, they are very cute, handsome, and strong, don't they? I'm quite satisfied with these drawings. In the video, I added some effects such as glitters It took me around four hours to color them using digital art. I feel so grateful.
First, obviously I drew a sketch using a pencil, eraser, ruler, and A5 size drawing paper with the help of some references. Then, I tried to determine the light source. Well, I'm still a beginner. so forgive me if something is a little unclear. Next, I tried shading... I checked again the eyes, horns, fox ears, and ears, namely objects that have symmetry using a ruler.

After the traditional sketch was solid, I immediately took a photo of the artwork I created and transferred it to the mobile application, ibis Paint X. I use it with ibis paint x which has been made larger in size. I used 4000 × 4000 pixels dimension so that the resulting image quality is better. After moving it, the next step is to insert a picture, and then I try to make the image thicker with the brush feature. I need to choose the appropriate brush first for outline and detail. Usually, the brush I use is the same for outline and detail, only the size of the brush is different. The outline thickness uses a brush size two times larger than the detail. The type is oil.
Then, I tried to look at the original character references. Wriothesley and Aratakki Ittto have characters with different colors. Different shapes of eyes, ears, eyebrows, and colors. For example, Wriothesley tends to be black while Itto, is red. Some people said that Itto is Red Oni. Because, the marks on his chest, near the eyes; and his horns are red. So I will use these colors in my image. Including determining the color of gloves and boxing shorts.
I found the coloring process more enjoyable and cool with the cell-shading technique. It seems simple, but it makes the character really outstanding. Yup, that cell-shading transition doesn't seem very subtle such as in the color transition, so it looks clear between beige and brown. But that's what makes me enjoy using this technique. After coloring, I added some square background behind the characters in order to make them pop up. Last, I saved it in PNG form and added glitter animation. So that it looks cheerful and makes it sweeter when making artwork.

-29 September 2023-
On this day, I made a fan art of boxing star game. So, today I drew Jin's character using wings and clothes like a sleeveless karate martial arts suit. I got this inspiration, because yesterday while playing I got the Emma League reward box. When you open it, you get a shirt that says legendary. I actually bought the trousers from the shop or maybe I got them from story mode?
Initially, I wanted to make the character Jin because he is the character that appears most often on banners and has been around since the first boxing star was available on Playstore. He has quite large, round, brown eyes and rather thin eyebrows shaped like mountains (yes, all eyebrows definitely look like mountains X). Also, as reported by boxing star.majamojo, Jin has a character who is a perfectionist, silent and deadly, kind and gentle and has an all round fighter fighting style with balanced strength, speed and stamina abilities.
Why is my concept given wings? because I just wanted to draw wings. The wings are gray in color, as if they are dull. So it gives the impression that he will become world champion by flying using those wings. The wings become dull, because it takes a Jinn's struggle to achieve his goal and that is not an easy thing. He has to use wings. big to advance to achieve his dreams.
Why do you wear karate clothes and have a black belt? Because of the close competition in boxing, many boxers have different strategies and tactics. His skill and skill in competition is reflected in the black belt. In karate, the black belt is the highest class. Karate clothes seem to be sleeveless because they are just for style, because boxing also involves a lot of movement in the hands, making Jin more comfortable when boxing. Shoes, boxing gloves as usual I give dark red color. Because, red is a color that gives the impression of being brave in facing existing challenges, enthusiastic, aggressive and active. At certain times, a boxer has to be aggressive too, so he can attack his opponent.
He also wears Bandanna. it can express his strong will to fight on with any opponent, including from heavy class.
What things do I like?
In this drawing, the most impressive thing is the drawing Jin's eyes and eyebrows. He has good poses and athletic body posture Indeed, it seems that Thomas is much more athletic and looks ideal. But for me, Jin is enough. I enjoy drawing this also when drawing wings. I feel like my imagination really wants to fly with Jin to achieve my dreams. In addition, drawing the details of the wings is very exciting, there are a lot of fine feathers. Plus, when I give costumes.
After the reference I got, He was wearing boxer shorts. I tried to combine it with Jin's karate clothes, wings. Plus, I also determine the color and in the process of coloring it. that's really exciting.
What are the challenges?
Some things can be a challenge, for example, the sketchbook that is used.. aaa.. today I bought an A5-sized sketchbook, but it is different from the previous sketchbook. This time the sketchbook has a thinner paper thickness, similar to 70-gram HVS paper and when you try to lift it, it is very light. Hmm... is it possible that each sketchbook has a different thickness? even though the size is the same.
So in drawing this I need to be extra careful... because I'm afraid of damaging the paper and getting holes. Apart from that, it was also challenging when I forgot to reduce the thickness of the brush to draw the wings. The brush used is very thick, thicker than the main character's. So, I need to delete them one by one. It can't be recreated, because... it's a shame it's all deleted. I made it on one layer.
So that's the story of this artwork, thanks for reading.
