my first three panels comic strip

My First Three-Panel Boxing Comic: Wriothesley’s Victory! 1. Why Did I Start Drawing? I’ve always admired boxing illustrations, but I never seriously tried drawing one myself—until now! This is my very first attempt at a three-panel comic, and I wanted to challenge myself by capturing the intensity of a boxing match in just a few frames. Since I’m still experimenting with comic-style storytelling, I had one goal in mind: Wriothesley must win! As a fan of his character, I wanted to depict his strength and resilience in the ring. --- 2. The Creation Process To bring this scene to life, I followed a simple step-by-step process: Step 1: Draft Sketch I started with a rough draft sketch to lay out the composition of the panels. This helped me decide the poses, perspectives, and overall flow of the comic. Since it was my first attempt, I focused on keeping things dynamic and readable. Step 2: Final Pencil Sketch Once I was satisfied with the draft, I moved on to the final pencil sketch on a f...

Championship Match (Completed)

Hello! This is my new OC. They are flyweight division. However, they are muscular enough. They have good boxing skills and a well-built body as a fighter. This fight is still continuing. Stay tuned for other posts on the blog.  Flame has red, spiky hair and Pulpy has golden hair.

The names of my new OCs are
Golden hair: Pulpy
Red hair: Flame

Here are the pictures of their fights.

Whoops...
Before that, I got the inspiration for this boxing match from my imagination and the real boxing match.

Flame
Why was named Flame?
I named the character Flame because he has a strong spirit for fights, and is a little spiky due to I get inspiration from Little Macs in Punch-Out games, A Fire, and Captain America. But, Flame has a different personality from Mac. Flame is a good-looking boxer, with stamina, and strength. However,  sometimes he needs to be more patient to get things he wants by realizing that he should make an achievable and measurable target to improve his skills. He has good leadership and a serious look. The fire is a hot thing, so his opponent will taste his hot and tremendous power.

Pulpy
Why was named Flame?
When I want to give a name, it's because I want to have a calm, bright, and warm smile character. I chose a yellow color for his hair.  Of course, his warm and gentle smile can be seen promptly.   He is polite, timid, and very introspective.  However, sometimes he needs to be more put effort in doing training with his coach. His hobby is eating oranges as well. According to Nutrinews (2023), Orange has a kind of pulp inside it which is healthy and can act as a fiber, sometimes a bit bitter taste (Nutrinews, 2023). So, when I want to make this character I refer to the name pulpy and his opponent will taste his bitterness in a boxing match.

Round 4

During round 4, they ferociously deliver clean shots to each other. The flame delivers a lot of face punch. While Pulpy has the challenge of keeping Flame under control. His aggressiveness is very challenging to tame. Pulpy tries to block. However, he can't keep up with the barrage of punches.  Near the end of the round, Pulpy throws a sneaky big hand to Flame's body.

Round 5

As round 5 begins, Pulpy learns a lot from Flame's style, tempo, and pace. He managed to keep the fire under control. Luckily, he delivers a body shot to Flame and is able to break his rhythm. Flame tasted a sneaky and tricky punch from Pulpy.  This time Pumpy has a lot of advantages, he also traps Flame in the corner. Near the end of the round, Pulpy almost makes Flame off balance by throwing a clean shot to his chin.

Round 6

In round 6, pulpy is keeping Flame under control by keeping Flame near the ring corner.  He tried to land a ferocious uppercut to Flame's chin. Flame was exhausted and wasn't able to keep his hand up. A barrage of punches came into his face. Many audiences surround these two fighters.  Near the final round, Pulpy gets success in delivering a clean jab to the face near the face.

Round 7

At round 7, Pulpy's stamina is lowered. He is controlled by Flame. This time Flame delivers a counter such as a body shot. His punches are really superior and give a lot of damage. Also, able to break the Pulpy rhythm, pace, and tempo. Flame is taking control right now. At the end of the round, he is able to land a hook on Pulpy's face.

Round 8

During round 8, Pulpy managed to keep closer together with Flame. He decided to tame Flame by doing clinching together. At this time, Pulpy's stamina is running out. His stamina is recovered gradually after the nasty body shot. However, it's not fully recovered.  Flame feels heavy and succeeds in escaping from the clinch and is able to deliver an uppercut to Pulpy's body nearly one minute before the end of the round.

Round 9

As Round 9 begins, Flame brings pulpy into the center of the terrace. Pulpy doesn't have enough stamina left. Flame delivers a sneaky counter right to his body.  Pulpy delivers some blows to the air while Flame is able to move aside from them. Flame's power and burnt still can be felt by Pulpy. He tries to get up in the eight count. However, he didn't succeed. Flame was raising his fist to the sky and giving a big smile to the crowd.
